The artwork Totem, a name that represents both, the animal sculptures linked to native cultures, and structures of contemporary visual communication advertising, aims to discuss the ways and intentions of communication by art and advertising, and how the new technologies has served as an interface in this dialogue. Using the representation of animals from the Brazilian cerrado and symbols used in technological applications for mobile, cut in adhesive vinyl, Totem is proposed as an art and media to affect people to think in how information is mediated by the mass media.
